European Youth Parliament - EYP (www.eyp.rs) is a youth non-governmental, non-partisan organization that exists in 40 European countries. European Youth Parliament simulates decision making process of European Parliament and is established as a non-formal educational programme with the aim of providing the young with a possibility for education, exchange of opinions and in order to encourage them to take an active role in their societies. EYP Serbia was established in 2006 and has since then organized between 5 and 12 events annually. It currently has 70 active members organized in four Regional offices in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kragujevac and Niš.  

EYP Serbia’s activities include capacity-building workshops and conferences organized replicating the decision-making procedures of the European Parliament. Largest annual conference of EYP Serbia is the National Conference, gathering around 120 participants, from over 10 European countries, discussing and debating on current European issues. EYP Serbia also organizes seven smaller Regional conferences for High School students from Serbia. The EYP network conducts the European Youth Polls (EYPolls) project which gathers the opinions of the young across Europe on current issues and events and publishes the results in surveys.

European Youth Parliament’s events are under patronage of the President of the EC Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the EP Mr. Martin Schulz and the General Secretary of the Council of Europe Mr. Thorbjᴓrn Jagland. EYP Serbia has cooperated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, the Provincial Secretariat for Youth and Sports of AP Vojvodina, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, GIZ, British Council and other institutions.
