K-FORCE training visit at DTU Copenhagen, March 25th – April 4th, 2019

As part of the K-FORCE project mobility training program for staff members, a training visit was arranged at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), from March 25 to April 4, 2019.

The trainee involved in this mobility was Dr. Igor Džolev, Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. The mobility took place at the Civil Engineering Department at DTU and was hosted by Dr. Luisa Giuliani, Associate Professor.

During the visit, the trainee was supplied with a place to work, a desk and a personal laptop with pre-installed software suite ANSYS 19.2. He was also provided with guest credentials which included account login information, access to printers and discount in the university canteen.

The trainee was engaged in research activities, covering topics on the Post-earthquake fire (PEF) response of structures and Numerical modelling of concrete. Recognized as important combination of hazards that is noticeable in every major earthquake and is not being given a proper attention, the aim was to prepare a state-of-the-art review on the PEF structural response, which was submitted for the upcoming conference Nordic Fire & Safety Days 2019 that will be held in August 2019 at DTU in Copenhagen, Denmark.

More detailed overview of the training visit is presented in the following Agenda.
